August 9, 2023, Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation Inc. visited FundLife International Inc. – Cebu, fortifying their partnership and introducing Cordova Public College as a new partner school. The visit encompassed partner communities in Talisay City: Barangay Dumlog and Barangay Tangke. It provided the Consuelo Foundation with a firsthand look at adolescent girls engaged in the Digital Skills Training under the Life Skills Plus Project.

The Life Skills Plus Program equips adolescent girls and young women with vital skills in self-awareness, leadership, youth empowerment, and child protection. Digital Skills Training, part of the 3-Pathway Program, aims to bridge the digital divide for adolescent girls and non-binary individuals, enabling them to thrive in today’s tech-driven world.

During the visit, the Consuelo Foundation witnessed the tangible impact of Digital Skills Training on these participants. The girls and participants actively engaged in discussions about responsible digital citizenship, digital ethics, and safety. The visit also featured interactive activities that fostered meaningful connections.

FundLife Cebu's dedication to holistic empowerment and gender equity shone through. Beyond technical training, the girls received valuable life skills coaching, enhancing their overall well-being and community contributions.

In summary, the Consuelo Foundation's visit to FundLife Int. Cebu showcased the profound impact of the Digital Skills Training within the Life Skills Plus Program. It emphasized the critical investment in the education and empowerment of adolescent girls, young women, and non-binary individuals, particularly in the realm of digital skills. This partnership stands as a beacon of hope, illuminating a path to a brighter future for these individuals, their families, and communities. Together, they are dismantling barriers and ushering in a world of opportunities.
