The weekend of the 18th and 19th was one of FundLife's more busy ones in recent months as momentum for 'Move for Equity' to #StandWithGirls, intensified with two major blue-chip events joining the Campaign.
The weekend kicked off in Cebu, where the infamous Spartan Race took place, challenging runners to traverse a technical and intense 10k or 21k trail in the hills of Cebu City. With incredible support from Spartan Race Philippines, FundLife provided 5 Move for Equity slots for the main trial race. In addition, FundLife was also able to support 12 children from underserved communities to enter the Spartan Kids, giving them a unique opportunity to experience a fun and challenging course. The experience for the children is directly linked to FundLife's experiential learning model, encouraging purposeful play for children and youth.
On Sunday, the 19th of March, 10 Move for Equity Female Champions were invited to join the All Womens Run in Alabang, organised by Womens Fitness, Philippines. The inaugural fun run celebrated Womens Month by inviting all female movers to join the run, with categories ranging from 1k - 21k. The collaboration with Womens Fitness is key for the values Girls Got This and Move for Equity embody - focusing on unleashing the physical and intellectual potential of all girls and young women.
We are very grateful for the support of these two values-driven partners and incredibly proud of the energetic and driven athletes who supported the Move for Equity campaign, encouraging everyone to #Move to #StandWithGirls to receive quality education and equitable opportunities.
We remain excited to keep working with Spartan Race Philippines and Women Fitness over the coming months and provide even more opportunities for all children and young people to reach their full potential, in fitness and in life.
