Move for Equity 2023 - a fun and exciting movement that encourages local pop-ups allowing every person to #Move and #StandWithGirls to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8th. This movement aims to raise awareness for equitable access to education, sports, and opportunities for all girls across the Philippines, equipping them with skills and confidence to secure, safe, and decent employment.
10 Barangays joins Move for Equity through Zumba Dance
FundLife International - Cebu's partner cities – Talisay, Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu, and Cebu joined the movement through Zumba exercise. A pop-up Zumba dance was arranged from each partner barangay at their respective gym. Participants included adolescent girls, barangay officials, and kids during the event. The Zumba movement impacted different walks of life in the community especially the adolescent girls as the movement served as a diversion from soaking in too much social media, and sparked interest as well in being active in activities such as dancing or exercising.
M4E corroborates with G.U.R.L. Marathoners
10 lady marathoners enthusiastically joined the G.U.R.L. Marathon held last March 26, 2023. G.U.R.L. stands for Girl Ultra Running League which is inspired by AWUM or the All Women Ultra Marathon set-up. With the same advocacy and cause, FundLife Int. Inc. coordinated with 10 ladies who represented the Move for Equity Campaign in Bogo City. Some of the girls even excitedly finished on the podium!
The Move for Equity Campaign amplifies the theme of the International Women’s Month – to Embrace Equity. Approximately 500 barangay officials from partner communities, and adolescent girls from different partner schools supported the movement with one common goal for each girl to have the right to accessible education, and to be given equal opportunities.
