FundLife partners with local establishments for GCL’s “Get the Chain, Let them Play” campaign

FundLife with its community-led sports education program, Girls Community League (GCL) has partnered with six local establishments for the “Get the Chain, Let them Play” campaign. to protect, educate and empower girls from vulnerable and marginalised communities across Tacloban and Leyte.


The partnership with local businesses will serve to raise awareness to help protect, educate and empower girls from vulnerable and marginalised communities across Tacloban and Leyte.


The establishments, namely, Pugon, Chew Love, Soledad Hostel, Ironwood Hotel, K Patisserie, and Coca-Cola Tacloban Bottlers Plant, will be selling GCL’s limited edition UN SDGs’ keychains across their branches in Tacloban City. The proceeds from the sales of the special UN Sustainable Development (SDGs) keychains will be used to directly help more girls access safe spaces to play sports, and protect their right to play, education, and opportunity, “We want to show people that a small contribution goes a long way – by giving up just one Starbucks coffee every month, it can keep one girl enrolled in the GCL program – buying a keychain is a great way to start a conversation with friends and family about supporting girls to have access to sports and education,” said Kimberly Lopez, FundLife Operations Manager. The partnership with the said establishments will boost awareness in the Region about the Girls Community League program where consumers can stand and safeguard girls through purchasing a keychain. "Pugon is a local business that supports a number of advocacies and we are happy to be able to help give girls equal opportunities to play soccer as boys through GLC." said Ms. Rochelle, owner of Pugon. Girls Community League is supported through global partners and it is one of FundLife’s football for good projects which currently reaches over 5, 300 children in Tacloban, Cebu and Northern Mindanao. The GCL keychains are also available nationwide through Toby’s Sports, the Philippines' largest multi-sports retailer, which is sold across their fifteen (15) stores including their flagship store in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig,
