On June 6, 2021, Fundlife International Inc. held its first community mentorship with the girls in Sambag I, Cebu City. The session was held at Sambag 1 Barangay Hall and it was attended by 25 girls (12 to 17 years old). Coach Robelyn facilitated the week’s session.
“Do you have a dream? What are your dreams?” these questions were asked to the girls as they started the session. Using the Visayan language, one of the girls answered how she wanted to help her mother with work. She also expressed that she wanted to be a teacher in a public school someday. Other girls also shared their dreams about each other.
As the session progressed, Coach Robelyn explained that goals are necessary to achieve their dreams. Further, they were taught about short-term and long-term goals. The girls were asked to list down their short-term and long-term goals for them to achieve their dreams.
Finally, Coach Robelyn wrapped-up the session with the girls by inspiring them to continue working on their dreams. The girls were thankful and happy as they were looking forward for the next session.
